Meet the Legends
About Us
It was formally formed into a club of friends in 1987 called Buckingham Place. The first election was held that same year, and Babajide McAlabi, an exceptional leader, became the inaugural chairman and helped steer the club to great success. Although many members live in various parts of the world, primarily the United Kingdom and the United States of America, we still have a rooted presence in Nigeria and remain connected through our shared history of love. Dann Mitton once said, "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing." In 2020, the Buckingham Legend Club reunited, thanks to technological advancements, and during this reunion, we decided to change our name from Buckingham Place to Buckingham Legend Club. What is truly remarkable is that despite being together for four decades, the club has remained united and focused on its values, mission, and peacefulness, which God has blessed.
